it's funny that in fictional settings authors try to name things in logically consistent ways. Meanwhile a lot of our own world overflows with irregularity & old words with new meanings. OCTOber? yeah that's the 10th month. Noon? Yeah that's 12PM. The "M" in "PM?" Eh don't worry about that.
