Bit of a reverse Black Friday tip. Go buy a book from an independent bookshop. While the richest companies in the world have another bonanza, put a smile on the face of a struggling writer and bookseller. Thank you x

This is great! ❤️ But just a reminder: many indie authors sell on ‘Zon because we can’t afford to put our books elsewhere. So boycotting the big companies can also really hurt struggling writers too.
Too late, B&N & Amazon drove America's 2nd hand and mom & pop bookshops out of business during Reagan's Miracle. It's likely where your mom & pop met, got high & conceived you, before bicycling to the co-op or thrift shop?
I did this the other day and as I paid I told them that although the book was cheaper on Amazon I wanted them to get the sale. She replied “well that’s good because Besos is an evil man”.
I am a bibliophile and I would love to visit independent bookshops but I can’t because nobody wears a mask. I am immunosuppressed so I have to shop online. If bookshops made it safe for people like me to go then I would.People like me have been excluded and I miss going to bookshops but I can’t.
How I buy my books. Without the wonderful #Bookish #Crickhowell I would not have met you and found the joy of reading your amazing book - The Betrayal of Thomas True
And, selfishly, I say got pick up a copy of a book by an indie author (who may use super online retailer to sell). I'm hitting up two indie book stores for stocking stuffers today.

But they don't. So I buy them at Indigo or Coles, or at Barnes & Noble when I'm visiting friends in the U.S. And I pay WAY less, too.

I order all my books on-line from them.
