Thanks so much! The tip is not hard, actually very flexible which allows for different line weight depending on how hard you press - requires a very light touch! But it is very sharp, so yes it can pierce the paper if you push it into the paper. It works a lot better if you draw it across the paper
OH WHOAAA i only have mini kakuno once and i didnt know fountain can do this many variety of thickness! is this the type that you need to dip the ink then use?
