essentially you eat or drink nothing for an amount of time.
while some cultures dry fast for religious reasons, it is for short periods of time and not to be done while sick or injured.
the very few studies done on dry fasting have been no longer than 'dawn to dusk' ...less then 20hrs.
dehydration, especially prolonged or long term, can irreversibly damage almost every part of your body. not to mention k!ll you.
people struggling with eds are usually already dehydrated due to food/ calorie restriction, making them more vulnerable.
again there are no studies on long-term dry fasting, but there are countless studies on the importance of water while losing weight.
restricting fluids have been show to reduce weightloss, damage metabolism and cause unpleasant side effects while dieting.
