appreciate the change. even having been diagnosed with it ("technically"), i cant fucking stand the term "aspergers" or "aspie", and the first time this was posted it really threw me off.

I was completely unaware of the fact the term "asperger" is considered offensive, because in Italy the term is still widely used in colloquial contexts ^^;

So yeah, changed it because the last thing I wanted to do is to offend anyone ^^

idk if its inherently offensive, but it has ties to a (alleged? id always heard it spoken of in certainty) nazi scientist, and is kinda just outdated since, at least in the us, you cant get diagnosed with it anymore.
some people still self-identify with the term, but in general "asd" is better.

Glad you acknowledged the wording. I am myself autistic, and was even specifically diagnosed with Asperger's at the time. That term is still commonly used in my country, but people are hopefully catching on.

Glad you changed it. "Asperger" was a more acceptable term in past decades (used to describe my own condition), but its dubious origins, as well as the implications of using it to describe "less autistic" people, makes it so that it's better to just use "autism" or "ASD".
