Da quanto ho capito la mamma di Patty e italiana, ma di che parti?
Invece il padre è irlandese di dove esattamente... ? E a proposito, prima ho poi dovrai presentarcelo!
But St. Patrick’s Day CAN’T be offensive cus we dedicate a whole day to Irish traditions, and obviously there’s nothing more to the Irish than booze, leprechauns, and green right? /s
But yeah no, it’s wild how the US lost the plot on SPD, reduced it to getting puke ass drink, then globalized it.
Precisely. The stereotypes just continue to be perpetuated no matter how often people state these things are actually offensive and don’t represent our culture year in and year out.
It’s definitely amazing to be celebrated globally for the contributions a tiny island has made around the world but to do it with a bit more reverence would be so much nicer other than make us out to be drunks.
This pic is a redraw of one I did 9 years ago, I didn't mean to endorse any bad stereotype, but I see what you mean (Italian culture is the most stereotyped around) so I'll try to pay attention in future.
Irish dancing, traditional musical, Gaelic football & hurling is a few that’s easily recognisable. Agriculture, myths & legends.. etc
I remember someone drew Hatsune Miku in a traditional Irish dancing dress that time the trend was going around of drawing Miku in different cultures. It was awesome
I’m a big fan of hurling, my husband plays it, it has to be the most skilled and impressive sport out there, it’s the fastest field sport in the world. Definitely check it out.

Cute art!! 💕
I've lived in Dublin for a while before getting back to Italy and Irish culture has always been a constant presence in my family :)
I'd like to draw something about more peculiar things of ireland in future!
There’s many more authentic Irish themes that she would certainly look cute drawn in.

Also “trick or treat” comes from Canada, so it’s not even like we made that part either 😭😭😭
Thanks for the feedback!
