I don't even want timezones. I don't care if I end up in place where sunrise is 2 hours before end of the day. I'd value it being the same time everywhere way more.

The most remarkable thing about the dashboard clock on a pre-2023 Subaru is that it's trivially easy; you hold the "down" button and it starts spinning backwards, pausing for 1 second for every 30 minutes it spins down. You just wait for the second pause and release.

My 2023 Subaru has magic.

I completely agree, abolishing Daylight Savings and adopting permanent standard time with simplified, uniformly spaced time zones would greatly simplify global timekeeping.

Sundial you just rotate it a specific amount.

Also, the oven is easy, not that I bother to set it in the first place, since my oven doesn't show the time unless I set it. (The same goes for my microwave.)

My car has GPS so it does it's magic like my phone.

In total agreement. It should be permanent standard time. Arizona has the right idea. Also those who fight for permanent DST are enemies of progress.
