When I was a teenager in the 60’s I had really rosy cheeks and used a colour correcting cream under my makeup. It was that shade of green 🤭
So basically I was green before I put on the tanned foundation. 😂😂

Now I’m a peely wally septuagenarian 😉

When I took the makeup off (which took FOREVER) my skin did NOT thank me, it reacted HORRIBLY and I think maybe you're not meant to put food colouring on your face.

Spare a thought for Margaret Hamilton, whose face took on a green hue from her makeup, it took her weeks to get rid of it. Also, it was copper-based and toxic.

If you end up having to use food coloring for professional purposes again it might be worth considering a call to the local chapter of the International Brotherhood of Cannibal Workers. They’ve got great resources on using food additives on human skin, plus their fee counts as a business expense!

I was once a green from the waist up genie, with proper body paint, but after too many vodkas, I was taken home with my head out of the car window. I've never been applauded for anything since.

You were lucky: someone who went as "The Incredible Hulk" once to a party ended up green for a week or two afterwards. (It stained the outer layer of his skin and it had to wear off.)

When my daughter was 4 she told me there was 'no way' I could be Batman at her birthday party. I proved her wrong, but the eye black reacted badly with the vitiligo around my eyes. I had sore, bright red skin around my eyes for about a week after.

I wanted to be a Smurf for Halloween many, many years ago and my mom dyed me blue with food coloring and it was not a fun experience. I was sobbing and begging her to just buy the mask at the store. I definitely don’t recommend food coloring!
