I agree that's possible, but it's turning down $50b worth of business/jobs/enhanced defense for the US, in order to help Russia. Democrats and the remaining pro-freedom Republicans should pound on this if it happens, and maybe keep it from happening.
Yes, Trump has shot us in the foot on military sales, but despite that, Ukrainians want to buy. Insanely anti-American if Trump won't let them. He'll be screwing over American workers and troops to benefit Putin.
To expand a little on the enhanced defense for the US: the more that other countries buy our weapons, the more cheaply we can produce them for ourselves at scale. Those purchases also tie those countries to the US and make them less likely to cave to hostile powers like Russia and China.
The crazier part of this is when I looked for the source this information is actually 2 weeks old. Given his stand on Ukraine and Russia hasnβt changed I think we know he turned them down and silenced the media.
Can we get a source for this? I'm a full Ukraine supporter don't get me wrong, but I hardly trust a jpeg image of text as a source this seems unlikely to me.
Zelenskyy is a great leader of his people and a force on the international stage. Trump never had a chance to "best him" in diplomacy or even checkers most likely..
Zelensky is such a boss! That man needs to be remembered forever as a hero to his people and an unrelenting thorn in the side of tyranny! Make him honorary president of USA just to piss dump off more! π€

I am investing in non-US defense contractors.
There are ways to structure the arrangement to minimize this gaming though, like installment payments.
Contractors learned to charge Trump a lot more because he was guaranteed to renege on his final installment payment. People learn.
His boss in the kremlin told him what to do I guess
