The “mother of first-wave feminism”, Mary Wollstonecraft was an English philosopher/writer. Her 1792 work, “A Vindication of the Rights of Woman”, is regarded as the 1st major feminist text where she challenged the patriarchy by advocating for equal education for men & women.
