My mom got food poisoning when she was about 29. It nearly killed her. Her heart stopped twice in surgery. She ended up losing some internal organs, and had to have a total hysterectomy. She told me a couple years later that nearly dying was worth it to never have to deal with that bs again

For no reason in particular this morning I would love for you to know that when you have a hysterectomy, they also take your cervix (usually), which means you never have to have a child, a period, a Pap, or worries about cervical cancer (again, usually) ever again
