MLBTV is to watch out of market games. For example Cardinal fans living in Florida. FD Midwest is for local games. Cardinal fans in St. Louis area.

Yes, I know. I live in a state with 6 teams blacked out since the inception of MLB TV. That's why I subscribed to FD Sports season pass. But opening day was blacked out on that and it told me to use MLB TV while MLB TV told me to use FD Sports.

I wound up cancelling my subscription through Amazon Prime and then signing up for the monthly FD Midwest subscription. That worked. Very strange

Good to know. I had considered doing the Prime sub for today but central Missouri is almost as bad as Iowa for blackout restrictions. A decade ago when I paid for the MLBTV streaming package, I had to use a VPN, but lived a 2+ hour drive from the stadium! Thanks for confirming my suspicions
