Is it a threat to an industry that has never had to face automation like this before? Ohhh yeah. But I think people will always value individual artists as humans.

And everyone is equally threatened. Creatives, white collar office workers, and janitors. We need to band together.

Art shouldn't be graded based on how much effort someone had to put into it but how much of themselves they put into it, their vision, the feelings that it represents, and the feelings that it makes you feel.

I think if someone truly spends time to express themselves and pour their heart into something that will reflect into their art whether they use AI or they draw it. AI art may be easy to make but it is fluff if it doesn't hold emotional impact and a personal essence of someone. Just like drawn art.

That's a large part of the reason that I'm getting into AI is to stay ahead of the curve so I can have a sense of what's happening in the world when the job displacements are happening. I also am tired of worrying about people abusing it, that will happen.. what I can do is try to use it for good.
