For clarification: Until I posted these, I had never posted screenshots of their messages to me, only of the inquiry I sent them. https://mymember.site is run by someone who will make choices about your account there based on personal opinion. I would not trust the platform.

Lastly, the only thing I can think of that I said that he could have been referring to in his message was when I bluntly replied to them dismissing my feature request. 😒 Denying access to someone the second there’s friction puts your income on the line due to possible petty grievances.

Yeah this is a big fucking yikes. A shame, because I was considering using them on the recommendation of another creator. But knowing that they don’t know the basics of corporate communication, and will arbitrarily make decisions about your account as a result, is definitely not trustworthy

I’ve worked in a policy position at a huge tech company before that was partially public-facing. And the professional thing to do is to either… ignore the query (not ideal) or to give the most limited answer possible. A simple “we are not connected to any Middle Eastern country” would’ve sufficed

Any company should assume its customer-facing interactions might be made public and act accordingly. It’s not like they’d ever tell you proprietary information or anything. This response is bonkers from a PR standpoint
