The older reps need to know it's time NOT to run...b'cause people are stupid enough to vote for them again & again. I've always believe term limits are unnecessary because voting itself is the limit, but state parties need to ensure younger folks are in the wings to step up & run and win.

Thrilled that in Georgia we have voted in younger Senators (55 and 38), and hope we keep them, but as Warnock ages, there better be someone in the Democratic party ready to rise up and get elected, if we're lucky enough to keep the seat that long. Hopefully he'll know when it's time to step back.

Democrats have decided that dying in office is honorable. They'll cling to power at any cost, reject every suggestion that they should make room for the next generation of leaders (or the one after next because they skipped over Gen X almost entirely) and actually surprised that they keep losing.

The thing about septuagenarians and octogenarians is that they're statistically very likely to die within a few years. When half the bench is over 70 you're gonna lose a lot of players. They should have retired years ago, after training up the next generation of leaders.
