Looking at Pleiades through the 8X magnification Galilean telescope I built from an Edmunds Optics kit when I was a lad remains one of my fondest memories
I grew up in a mid size metro area with more street lights than I would have liked but I could still see the Milk Way and other wonderful sights from my own backyard.
