Just watched a documentary on Hillside Church last night. The usual mega church leader. Pedophile and became filthy rich from the poor people he exploited. Cults.
I remember when the Crystal Cathedral was being built. I was in awe, but I was a child. My mom, on the other hand was disgusted, I still remember her saying, "Think of all the hungry people they could've fed with that money." It made a lasting impression on me. Last I heard it went brankrupt.
As a Christian myself, I sadly agree with this. Nothing good has evolved from the churches involvement in politics. In fact, it has been just the opposite.
We've had some modest, recreational land since 1994. Only an hour from home, we drive serene backroads. Hubs pointed at an upscale, mini-mansion on acreage & told me a maga pastor in our 110k population suburb owns this property. Puke.
