Yes, Merrick Garland was wrong in delaying the appointment of special council Jack Smith until after j6 committee finished and does deserve some responsibility. However, the real responsibility falls on the federal court system specifically Aileen Cannon, the 11th Circuit of Appeals and The SCOTUS.

The duty to collect, analyze and respond to the evidence got lobbed from person to person because nobody wanted to be “the bad guy.”
