Many people realized last week the question isn’t whether an action is illegal: it’s who will stop them.

I find it very sad when well-meaning people think pointless suggestions will help. Like “Democrats should be speaking out” (this no longer matters). Or “career civil servants need to stand firm” (the non-loyalists are getting fired).
