@andrewmstern.bsky.social showed that soluble AD brain fractions contain #Abeta and #tau filaments, and we confirmed by #cryoEM that these adopt the same folds as in sarkosyl-insoluble fractions. Therefore, why would the mysterious STAs below not just be filaments?
