It's a man's last name, Henry Flagler. The name that was almost given to Miami, Florida because of his railroad the Florida East Coast Railroad.

Yep. He was a dirt bag. Not an unfamiliar story for a lot of the self-made, old money, in the U.S. (There's a reason Carnegie built libraries, etc., and philanthropy is emphasized over higher taxes.) Not an unfamiliar story for a lot of the new money, too, for similar reasons.

Still a fan of the C&EI, though, and its predecessors throughout the area. Not a fan of their use of "Dixie" on a number of their trains. It was used to designate their connected routes from St. Louis and Chicago to the South.
