fun fact about lighting! turns out phone cameras interact weird if all the lights in your room are the same color, so i had pics that looked good when taken but didn't when opened in the gallery. all i did to fix this was to adjust the lights so one was slightly yellow and one was slightly pink
Another thing that helps is reducing the color saturation of your lights. There's usually a sweet spot where "color + a bit of white" still shows up as a picture under single-colored lighting, but doesn't get destroyed by the sensor being overloaded only on specific channels.
