It just looked silly, but as few sensible riders said it was likely to just cause a smaller incident or unclipping over the high speed crashes of the last few years going in straight at full speed

Anti-Chicane arguments were silly imo, "riders are going to want to go fast and all crash on a flat paved turn" no they will just slow down like they do on every other turn, and then accelerate again
