My first experience in ul'dah was a roegadyn and my hubby was a hrothgar showing me around. So that never clicked for me until about 30 levels of msq later. I guess they were all intimidated by his size....and his many weapons.
ngl, this is more or less how it went for my big boy Ziv when he first went to Ul'dah in his lore, except he actually had a sword, so a guard was very much about to get skewered. depending on the AU though (as I have many), it was either Wymond, or Wymond and my F Elezen who deescalated things
aye, he didn't much screen time, but I'd say he made great use of the time he got
and seeing as my F Elezen is a Duskwight, honestly, he was just as much there to make sure she didn't end up joining Ziv in flaying a guard from a possible snide comment as he was to insure Ziv didn't do any flaying
I do! I plan to tell highlights of Harik's journey through MSQ, with unique spins and twists based on personal headcanon.
That said, no promise on how quickly I get it out. And I'm probably going to skip around at times to tell some modern DT stuff in-between the tale of Harik's journey
I feel like Limsa Lominsa would be the only town hrothgar could enter peacefully. Gridanians are pretty wary of strangers of any kind.
That said, I never thought about it before seeing your comic xD Great job, by the way!
Funnily enough, I remember reading somewhere that Roegadyn were the first to welcome Hrothgar and befriend them, despite moat Hrothgar coming to Eorzea not knowing the common tongue.
The official ShB website tells about Horthgars being feared because of their stature and lack of communication, but that's the first time I read this about Roegadyns. If you ever remember where you saw this, I'd love to read myself!
I'm not surprised it's thanks to the muscles though xD
I have hrothgar characters that started in Ul'dah but I never really thought about this idea since I didn't know a lot about the hrothgar lore aside from the bits from the character creation at the time 😅
My Hroth alt Goran started in limsa when he feld with his mother. I like to think they gotten looks at first but quickly gotten used to cause lots of ships be coming and going from all over.
This gave me the haunting chill of the earlier problems the WoL faced. It's really forced me to consider the lore again.
But I love this because it just makes you think from the get go that Hrothgars are the only race that would have gotten that treatment. Viera would have gotten away with it

today's a day where I'm just not typing out entire words, apparently
Just me?
(Also, subtle Jab at Balmung. If you know you know.)

Reason why? Shared love of the muscles xD

Also, no way somebody actually remembers that character
