It's really annoying especially with the way content is going too where it's just getting more and more tedious to clear it w/o the new units it was designed around.

But such is gacha, eventually they gotta steadily put on the vice to get you to spend more.

i think the trouble is how far massive the power creep got within like, 3 years?

i think in FGO, powercreep for 5 stars wasnt too bad until year 5 when castoria outclassed every other support caster

i know they said they plan on strengthening old units but like

roof with amphoreous's release and it just shows how vastly overtuned the newer characters are now

it doesn't help that HSR is also turn based so i cant just tough it out with skill based play w undertuned units and i need to pull the meta or go fuck myself

it kinda just feels like i got spit on because i e2'd FF, feixiao and acheron bc i like them a lot as characters and wanted to invest in dupes and suddenly e0 castorice, blindfolded and on one leg can outdamage all 3 of them

Going into Year 3 is gonna be fun alright.

I honestly think they went off the rails on the powercreep cause Penacony had picked up a bunch of new players, hell it got me back into the game so IG they saw the player numbers and figured they could start jacking up the characters and fight stats

Also knowing Hoyo, whatever they do to buff the Y1 characters, it's just gonna meet the bare minimum to be technically "usable" so we still gotta pull for the new characters if we wanna stay out of the cycle of frustration they and other F2P games use to get money out of their players.
