And those benefits can be enormous. The Clean Air Act reduced illness and death from air pollution, saving more money between 1970 and 2020 than the US spent on energy during that same time.

Exactly. Avoided costs aren't real in their view. That's one of the reasons why dealing with climate change is such a challenge politically.
