Excellent column, identifying many of the wfh benefits. One challenge I hadn’t counted on was the inability of my son, desperately looking for work, to get work experience. He’s willing to work for free, but there’s no one in the office to guide him. A challenge for future generations of workers.
WFH has loads of benefits but mainly for people in certain occupations, at a point in an established career with the right set up at home. To start your career, WFH in a wee bedroom in your mum's house isn't much fun. how do you build relationships and learn from colleagues?

Hands up - I'm old and had come to despise the commute and office-based work, so covid-gifted wfh was a timely relief.
Now home is my work base and I am happier than I've ever been.
Maybe it's the extra 30 mins sleep a day...
