A client last week was told by an "astrologer" a few years ago that she would die at a certain age. She is now past that age and has become very fearful. Please tell me, what can be gained by this and how is it helpful. 🤷🏼♀️

Even if the client asks for it, the fact is not one astrologer can accurately predict death. And even if we could, why should we? What is gained by knowing?
Ooooh ! I have two cases where it was absolutely appropriate. One was a terminally ill man who wanted to know how long he had to settle his affairs. The other was a long term retreatant who wanted to use the knowledge as support for their contemplations of death.
The first I did a great service for and he passed within a day of the predicted mark. The second was told the time of death was hypothetical and western medicine is quite capable of changing the time of death. Both were very happy and satisfied.
But in principle I agree with you, it is not a good thing to put out there because of the concepts it creates in the native's mind. I would not say it is something that should never be done though, as if it were feeding children to the furnace of Moloch, which obviously should never be done.
Yes. yes. pulling out a prediction of death randomly on an innocent wide eyed astrology enthusiast, like a Colt 45 from your holster, is such a noob thing to do. Does not help anyone.
For the terminally ill person, transits to the ruler of their 8th and the in sect triplicity ruler of their 8th. For the retreatant (mind you this was 2012) the method of giving years to life based on the Alcoccodan. (I believe it is being transliterated differently now)
I have written a lot about transits and factors after death. But speculating on when someone will die, while it may be an interesting exercise, is to me the worst use of astrology.
High level of work ethics, professionalism, moral considerations as well as the core value of the right faith / belief, are among the most important aspects of all kinds of professions, including astrologists of any kind of spiritual or traditional lineages.
In my experience you're not gonna get that information from a person's natal chart, you would get it from the disruption in ppl closest to them's chart.

But what do you think about astrologers publicly speculating about the approaching death of someone famous. I think that crosses a line too
