An executive order declaring that children of undocumented immigrants will no longer receive automatic citizenship. It would deny millions of kids passports, Social Security numbers, and basic rights.
The fallout would be catastrophic.
The Constitution says:
“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States.”

In United States v. Wong Kim Ark (1898), the Supreme Court ruled that children born on US soil—even to noncitizens—are citizens.
Trump’s plan defies precedent and would plunge millions into legal limbo.
