Sorry, I should have put tone indicators bc that came off rude. I meant the thank you genuinely. Unfortunately, this is my only option.
There are other factors at play in this piece as well, so it isn't my *best* example. the canvas being tiny (250x250) and BlueSky compressing it further, mainly.
There's also the addition that it wards off thieves as well. So if someone reposts it, they don't have a "clean" copy and it's easy to prove they aren't the real artist. It unfortunately doesn't protect from tracing, though.
Noise and annoying watermarks aren't wanted, but are sadly needed.
All good, no worries! :D Glaze is a free download though, same with Nightshade. The expensive part about it is that you most likely require quite a new computer. To circumvent that they made webglaze, which is a bit hard to get an invite for though.
But yeh, bsky compression is pretty brutal, eh? :D
It is. Also yeah, I only have a little Chromebook, so unfortunately I can't use them. I could have sworn they were a pay to use? Maybe it was at first launch and that's why I remember it being that way? Not sure.
BUT- The app Cara is trying to work with Glaze to have it built in. Maybe someday 😭

Also the amount of people who get MAD mad at artists putting extreme watermarks on their art feels so disrespectful and annoying.
We HAVE TO just to TRY to protect out work!

WAY less invasive for human eyes, way better against machine learning. :)
Either way, I'm good with my own method, thank you.
