Hopefully the cuts will be more about the leeches, the private companies that in the last decade grew to make millions a year out of our health, care and prison systems in suspiciously profitable contracts providing pitiful services. Labour has a better record. Let's see before we throw the stones?

this: there's a short-term/temporary push to reduce waiting lists using private resources, and then there are other more long-term/permanent measures, which include a huge investment in technology, which is often outsourced to private companies. Not all privatisation is permanent, nor medical. /2

Technology will supposedly improve processes + streamline resources, and savings will be made. were always so focused internally, they couldn't see it. So yeah, there are changes coming, and yeah, private companies will be a part of it. And maybe the govt will mess it up spectacularly. But before we throw rocks at them, all I'm saying is: let's see what happens. Rome wasn't built in 5 months.

Now in my 60s, and so sad to that the current Labour government are the biggest disappointment in my 40+ years of voting Labour.
At almost every turn, I struggle to see how they're representing the interests of 'ordinary' people.
I suspect that I'm not the only one feeling very let down 😞
