To be fair, how does Paris' public transportation compare to ATL's? Perhaps it's not a question of broken brains but broken urban planning, broken local gov, and broken state and federal gov? Let's start with the problem(s)? Not the symptoms?

I think we essentially agree. My point is not to say "Atlanta must implement this exact policy right now"-- I'm warning against knee jerk rationalizations of why we shouldn't even try to reach similar goals over time. Yes, we need a holistic fix to our urban planning/design/policies.

My issue is when the powerless get blamed / pointed at for following the lead of The Powerful. The Powerful who are too often lacking in accountability. Should the powerless pay closer attention? Sure! But given the choice between roasting them and the Powerful, the latter should be called out.
