Gonna preempt some comments - I know gen AI is way overhyped, WAY dumber than people think, and hallucinates like hell.
I basically never use them, but they are occasionally the right tool for the job (like for a smart speaker project Iβm working on).
And for that, I want an open-source model

Right. Imagine if people actually learn and grow for themselves. We are undermining the βSapiensβ in our species by offloading reason and reading comprehension to algorithms. Folks using AI are begging to be ruled and manipulated.
