Not silly at all. I mistyped. I lost half the frequencies I need for speech, mostly the consonants at the beginning of words. It looks like a "bite" off a hearing chart as those nerve endings are dead.

But on the plus side, I'm not dead, right? And I'm a great interviewer because I watch people really, really closely. I can (usually, not always) see when to shut up because there is more they want to say and are just waiting until they feel brave enough. Differently Abled really is A Thing.
Might be how it plays out for you? Great to hear you have identified a strength tho. Keep looking for 'em! My ADHD family members are sensitive, enthusiastic, great at finding fun/variety and deeply loyal. Also BIG believers in fairness and justice. Waving pom poms for you!

I am exceptionally good at languages despite not being in a position to learn until university. Is that an ADHD thing? 🤷♂️
I kind of obsess over words- their sound, spelling, forms, patterns, how they combine.
