This happened to me today too! Except he actually didn't read my reply (on someone else post) at all, put "words in my mouth" so to speak. Then blamed his misunderstanding on the OP and put words in their mouth too. All while calling me lazy and saying I couldn't read. 🤭
Yoooo I had that happen to me several times haha ^^ or something I say gets taken out of context just so it can get shit talked on an alternate account or discord server. It’s happened quite a bit tbh (:
Then they start calling out on it because they misread what it actually means, you try to DM them to talk it out, but instead they delete the post and unfollow
That actually happened believe it or not, they took a screenshot of my post and twisted it; they didn’t realize I was talking about a very specific topic
Never understood that attitude they ask for information and details but then they pull the stupid card “I ain’t reading all that“ like wow so you rather stay uninformed.
As a person that can practically only talk via long-form messages, essays, etc., I can also relate.
Every time I talk, I put so much effort into it. Then sometimes I have someone tell me something that I mention later or try to correct something that they didn’t fully read & wasn’t wrong.
Like, I get it, it’s a lot to read. But if you aren’t going to read the whole thing, then you aren’t going to understand the whole thing. If you don’t understand it, why are you commenting on it? More specifically, acting like you’re unto something when you’re not?
It’s even worse when they make a long message. You read it in its entirety. Then you send a long message & they don’t read it.
Even when I see that something is wrong, I like to check things multiple times to make sure.
Don’t even have to do like me. Even just one thorough read can be nice.
I get it though. It can sometimes seem like too much & they might get overwhelmed. Just wished that if people didn’t read it all, they wouldn’t just jump to conclusions. & also that if they did assume wrong, that they admit to mistakes & apologize for any possible damage.
I mean, no grudges anyways. I like spreading positivity & love. If they don’t apologize & just disappear, let them. Don’t hold onto them. They aren’t going to magically appear & all that. So don’t let anyone fill you up with bad feelings.
(P.S. I can indeed talk without making it long. However, I state I practically can only talk in long-forms because I just usually end up talking a lot even when I don’t mean to. Not bad though. Just shows I’m interested in the person & conversation.)
I have the bad habit of beginning a post on a YouTube video while I'm still watching, where I ask questions that the producer answers later in the same video.
I have done this many times.
I'm happy it costs nothing to delete entire paragraphs of text.
