If you have multiple commissions at a time but having trouble finishing on just the first commission, why not jump around from each client’s commission and work on that a little and come back to the first one?

Might help a little bit with the art block or lack of motivation

It may not seem you’re not doing much just doing tiny bits of your art in a short time but believe me when I say this that if you work a little bit by day, it’ll go far

Won’t have such a big backlog if you work a little a day, even 15 min of your day will go far! You’re making progress regardless

I also say if you do limited slots and you have a variety of different commissions, I recommend trying to do the easier ones first and then slowly finish the more complex ones bit by bit.

This may not work for everyone ofc but this is just how I work and get comm done quickly in a timing matter

I feel like this part right here can apply to all artists in general, even people who only make art every once in a while (such as myself). Even if life is packed, you can still get in a little bit of art to have fun with it. This feels really motivating and makes me want to work on something ^^

Yeah I agree! Drawing a little everyday on any type of art can help you make the things you wanna draw easier imo, eventually you’ll have a complete image

I love these little art tips! I'm not yet at a place to do commissions, but the thought of doing them is intimidating for me. I'm always afraid that a client won't like my work and think, "this is what I paid for?" 😣😓
