I would be interested to know how long those pipes have been in the ground and why, now, after all these years, the lead is leaking into the water.

True, but how many generations of families have used water from those pipes for drinking and bathing and laundry, and lawn care? Is there a history of problems with those families? If the pipes have been in the ground for 60 or 80, or over 100 years, there should be signs. Just food for thought.

If your kid has a rash and you get them tested for lead, and it comes out elevated - you have a lead poisoning problem.

Important not to doubt the folks on the frontlines.

Environmental Justice is a major instance of my model/ideal of Technological Citizenship and the social contract for the technoscientific society.

I am sorry to see EJ denigrated as a policy concept by the current regime. Is that one of the terms the Trump gov't has banned from use?
