Opuntia microdasys var. albata, or Angel Wing prickly pear, looks soft and fuzzy, but its white glochids are sharp and difficult to remove, so it’s best not to touch. Native to Hidalgo, Mexico, these plants can grow 3 feet tall with a 6 foot spread.
