It's notable how good our internal physics engines are. Like the mind is a much better physics engine than it is a calculator or datastore.

Presumably evolution is able to favour a pretty intuitive understanding of basic physics since it's pretty consistent.
But with how good we are at intuitively grasping all sorts of systems, I don't think that's all it is.
