If you've never been to a #protest before, try to find someone to go with, who has, or at least with a group of friends who you know are typically calm and rational. Make sure you read up on safety and pack everything you'll need, the day before so you don't forget anything.

You can bring a cellphone but make sure you DISABLE location tracking and face/print unlocking. Set it to PIN number only. I'd highly advise using a disposable if possible. The following is a list of items to pack including snacks cash, first aid items etc.

Minimize potential of harm and legal issues if you get arrested. LEAVE any weapons or drugs at home, seriously, you don't need to get busted carrying anything the cops can charge you with. Tie up long hair, do NOT wear any jewelry and wear glasses (with shatterproof googles) instead of contacts.

If things get serious and law enforcement start using gasses, know how to handle it and make sure you've got your items on hand to recover from it. This is where those goggles and masks really come in handy. Do whatever you CAN to minimize exposure that. #Resistance #Anonymous #Protest

Remember, law enforcement are NOT your friend in these situations. Don't give them your name or say *anything* other than requesting a lawyer. Wear clothes that are non-identifying (no logos, symbols etc) and make sure clothes cover tattoos, mask and goggles will help conceal your identity as well.
