This election map from the FAZ shows that the AfD in light blue dominates the former East Germany.

The wall came down in 1989, and, although the Russians officially left in 1994, many Germans are still living ‘behind the wall’. Sadly, continued Russian misinformation and interference are showing results.

On Feb 14, 2018 my husband and I visited Dresden, a city immaculately restored after the '44 Allied firebombing. We attended a commemorative concert in the restored Frauenkirche.

The very next day, on the same square, we witnessed a Nazi demonstration.
