Well, I have to say I just don’t like the new site. Just did a quick check and there appears to be a bit of a data integrity issue. Checked for a 48 year old living in Common Street in 1911 and I’m getting her correct first name but a completely wrong surname. How many more are like this?

Claire, have you downloaded a csv file? I downloaded a sample and the image column just doesn’t seem to make sense from an end user perspective. A link back to the record transcription would be far more practical.

Wild card searches don't seem to work either, though I know there is Soundex.

Just adding comments here, take or leave - I did a search on occupation (free text) and noticed that a couple of street names came up within a DED which were obviously the same street but misspelled - you can select one street, but you cannot select both streets to see the full set of results.

That's annoying. But you can download both lists as .csv and put together.

The little button to the top right to show all information is handy - I did not spot it at first and I was wanting to compare county of origin with county residing in now.
