Here in South America of one of these biofuels (Soybean Biodiesel) presents three isssues: local cancer among people living near plantations sprayed from the air with glyphosate, two million acres of land and fossil fuel use in fertilizers, transport as well as use in crushers (to extract oil).

Pome surged by over 2000 per cent in last available full annual year, from around 1,980,000 litres in 2022 to 55,688,432 litres in 2023. The vast majority of that Pome was imported from Indonesia and Malaysia.

Might finally put oil boilers to rest! Heat pumps, batteries and EVs all the way now. HVO expected to be at least 20c/litre premium. Had been trading at parity too often on recent times.
