Perhaps your family came through Ellis Island without papers, so now it's questionable whether you're a natural born citizen because now NONE of your relatives were really citizens.
Hey, my people were only officially recognized as US citizens with the Indian Citzenship Act of 1924. That's just an act of Congress, they could totally repeal it if they wanted to.
Screw it, after all that, why don't they just go after the 14th Amendment? Not just the parts they seem to not like now, but ALL of it, and make the repeal retroactive?

"It must apply to everyone or it means nothing" that is burned into me since I saw it as a child the 70s on Channel 11 late at night. It's still part of my philosophy.

Maybe they decide that previous administrations were illegitimate, so anyone naturalized in the last couple of decades isn't really a citizen.
