I’m thinking Maguire’s optional year gets triggered. Doubt we can afford a new CB to replace him.
I have no idea what our summer will look like but I fear if we miss out on Europe, we’re in big trouble.

I'd say they'd snap someone's hand off for a 15-20m bid. They wanted to offload him last summer. And they already brought in Yoro and Heaven. I'm sure Amorim hasn't been happy with what he has seen with his CB's. He will have to get a CB in anyway.

I think Branthwaite will be too expensive and with Everton having new owners there isn't the requirement for them to sell. Perhaps shopping around Europe for another 18-23 year old centre back might be better. Also take a punt on Jonathan David from Lille on a free.
