I like to refer to this as the Bruno Paradox. I know it sounds flip floppy, but I 100% agree with both Keane AND Wright on this one. We’d be completely lost without Bruno at the moment but we can’t be an elite level club with him. Does anyone else think like this? - ThreadSky

I think he'll probably be replaced by someone more suited to Amorim's football but he will most likely be needed next season. Although if they got a big offer in for him in the summer I'd say they'd find it hard to turn it down. If he was at City or Liverpool he'd probably have won the balloon d'or

It’s almost impossible to argue against his stats. I saw that one yesterday that only Salah and DeBrunye have more assists than him since 2020(?). But there’s also an element of chaos and petulance which is brings to the squad.

I don’t think BF is the (only) problem with current Utd set up. He certainly led well last night, but 3 misplaced passes on Sat led to 2 Everton goals and the non penalty. His carelessness at times is a huge issue. I really don’t believe he’s the on field leader to bring the glory days back to OT

I think “problem” is a strong word to describe him. There’s definitely an issue, but he’s got to be near the bottom with everything else going on with this squad.

I think if he was surrounded by elite level players, we could be successful with him as part of that. He’s very unfortunate to be at the club at a time where he’s the only one near that description.

It’s almost like he’s an old school “run and gun” style player in a world of football that’s now all about systems and possession. He also the only one who should be our captain at the moment, but I’m also not sure he’s really suited that role.

I think he’s too careless with the ball, can be positionally irresponsible, and not disciplined enough. But he’s, without a doubt, our best player now thus the paradox.

I think a lot of that could be down to doing too much himself he doesn't trust his teammates and who could blame him.

Agreed. He was absolute garbage for 70 mins against Everton then pivotal to us claiming a draw.
