At 3-1 Ian Darke said Cole Palmer "wants to get in on the action" and I really liked it! So much less jarring than 'in on the act.'

Stephen Warnock said "Chelsea now are like the Blue Arrows, coming from all directions." Adjudication on Blue Arrows?!

I remember on the other site @gatehouseami.bsky.social discussed the phenomenon of Chris Sutton’s Predictions veering wildly from “A-list Hollywood star” to “bassist in fading 2000s indie band”.

This week might be the archetypal example. Can’t wait for next week, when Sutton takes on Ariana Grande.

“It’s probably a good time to play them” - what specifically goes into determining this? Bad run of form, injuries, congested fixtures? Feels like team x (“them”) being expected to win the fixture under normal circumstances is also a key factor, but unsure what else?

Very possibly asked and answered before but how long does the “no time” threshold last? For me, Drury correct to use it after 10mins for Spurs second but had it just been their first he’d have been way off. For even higher scoring starts like 3 or 4 goals, how far into a game can “no time” go?

Maybe it's more of an MHD but the wiping of the camera lens during the Chelsea Brighton game today was an absolute delight. I'm sure this used to be seen more but now there are 1000 cameras at Premier league games I suppose they can easily avoid you seeing it happen.

In the midst of Oldham's joint-worst ever football result (losing away at Stockton Town, having lost last season at home to Hendon) there was a very enjoyable few minutes where the goalkeeper couldn't take a kick as the ball kept blowing away.

I was watching Wolfsburg v Mainz and a graphic came up saying how many own goals Hanche-Olsen has scored this season after he unfortunately put the ball into his own net. After a goal we are typically shown how many goals that player has scored this season, but since when do we count own goals?
