Check Car Wizard on YouTube--he probably has a "buy this, not that, Diesel edition," that can tell you which specific diesel engines are the most cost effective. 🖖

This is a second-hand story rather than direct knowledge, so I hope it's still helpful: A friend of mine is still driving the same F150 diesel she had in high school, which means she's had it at least 20 years now. And she's owned horses that long too, so she has USED that truck!

If you have a mechanic you trust, see if the seller will let them look it over. The only thing is, I see that PowerStroke logo and I don’t get the mental image that Ford wants me to have.

Hmmm. 2010 Fords I thought had the 6.4L V8 (and a 6.8L V10) not the 6.7L. The 6.4L has issues if that's what it has. https://www.theautopian.com/why-the-6-4-liter-ford-power-stroke-diesel-engine-was-such-a-pile-of-trash/

Do you know the history of the turbo?
The pre 2015 trucks had issues with the turbo bearings shitting the bed.

We botha gree go look at it. Ask about the turbo and fuel system.
Ideally, the turbo has been replaced, and the fuel system has been serviced regularly.

(Change fuel filter ever 3 oil changes)
