In @MichaelNyhof-DeMoor family we say “Sterkte” which is Dutch for strength when someone is going through something difficult. It means I am wishing and giving you strength to persevere and am with you and love you.

It’s a simple word and could come off as trite but somehow spoken in Dutch it takes on so much more meaning and support. So to all on this New Year’s Day I wish you Sterkte in the year to come.
I know for many it is filled with anxiety, fear, anger, pain, and grief as well as excitement, love, and joy. So let us all extend Sterkte to each other as we muddle through life.
