We have become a 2 butter dish family.
A while back, Anne showed me that we could leave the butter out on the table without refrigeration.
But I always had a stick, partially unwrapped, in the fridge so I could have cold hard butter.
I broke down and bought another butter dish.

For the exact same reason. Except the fridge butter is actually for pie crusts.
At least, it was. Then one of my sons saw I had two and asked for one.

My mum however, had butter in a dish, un fridgerated until I persuaded her to use a spreadable and keep it in the fridge, so much better
